Localized surface plasmon effects in ZnO sandwiched gold nanoparticles under fs pumping (2015)
Conference Proceeding
Bongu, S. R., Bisht, P. B., Namboodri, R. C., Ali, S. A., Kelly, T. J., Costello, J. T., …Kasiviswanathan, S. (2015). Localized surface plasmon effects in ZnO sandwiched gold nanoparticles under fs pumping. In 2015 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) (212-213). https://doi.org/10.1109/IPCon.2015.7323479

Nonlinear optical properties of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) embedded ZnO thin films have been studied at 400 nm. While the AuNPs thin film shows the effect of saturable absorption, AuNPs embedded ZnO film exhibits the RSA behaviour.

A computer vision approach to classification of birds in flight from video sequences (2015)
Conference Proceeding
Atanbori, J., Duan, W., Murray, J., Appiah, K., & Dickinson, P. (2015). A computer vision approach to classification of birds in flight from video sequences. In Proceedings of the Machine Vision of Animals and their Behaviour (MVAB) (3.1-3.9). https://doi.org/10.5244/c.29.mvab.3

Bird populations are an important bio-indicator, ; so collecting reliable data is useful for ecologists helping conserve and manage fragile ecosystems. However, existing manual monitoring methods are labour-intensive, time-consuming, and error-prone....
