Biography Dr Alexander Turner received a BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Hull in 2008 before being awarded an MSc in Natural Computation in 2010 and a PhD in electronics in 2014, both from the University of York.

In 2014 he was awarded an ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Fellowship to carry out research in the Bioinformatics and Gene Regulation group in the Faculty of Medicine at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Dr Turner later returned to the University of York as a research associate in the Intelligent Systems research group before beginning a lectureship in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Hull.
