Dr Anand Ahankari

|Biography||Graduated in Dentistry (BDS), and then studied Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Nottingham, UK.
Anand has successfully completed his PhD studies at the University of Nottingham, UK (PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health awarded in December 2017).
He has also completed three CPD courses (Imperial College, University College London and University of Nottingham, UK).
Anand has a valuable experience of working across all stages of research project lifecycle (concept development, grant application, research proposal design, ethics, team training, data collection, analysis and publication).
He handled a team of 4 full-time staff, and 34 healthcare workers, and also worked in both developing and developed country environments (4 years of full-time work experience, and 2 years of part-time with UK-HEI, international research group, industry, and development agency).
Published 19 journal papers since 2012. Of those, 7 papers are from PhD data published in the first 40 months of the study period. Please use the Orchid ID web llink to view his published research. He worked as an external peer reviewer on 25+ manuscripts for international biomedical journals.

His previous honorary appointments include Research Fellow Panel-co lead and Scientific Advisor with the NNEdPro, Cambridge (October 2015 to February 2017), and 'Associate Editor' with the BMC Public Health, London (March 2018 to April 2019).
Anand was awarded '2016 Tri-Campus Postgraduate Research Award' (Mr Andrew Henry Prize) following his contribution during PhD studies by the University of Nottingham, UK. He was interviewed by the Vibe FM Toronto Radio Channel on his sex ratio research published in the Lancet Global Health (broadcast on 8 March 2018).
