Journal Article
Fletcher, P. D., Binks, B. P., Horozov, T. S., Braz, D. A., & Clint, J. H. (2008). Novel film-calliper method of measuring the contact angle of colloidal particles at liquid interfaces. Langmuir : the ACS journal of surfaces and colloids, 24(5), 1678-1681. https://doi.org/10.1021/la703414q

A simple and reliable film-calliper method of measuring the particle contact angle at the water-air (oil) interface in real time has been developed. Its applicability to submicrometer and micrometer latex and silica particles is demonstrated.

Effect of electrolyte in silicone oil-in-water emulsions stabilised by fumed silica particles (2007)
Journal Article
Horozov, T., Binks, B. P., & Gottschalk-Gaudig, T. (2007). Effect of electrolyte in silicone oil-in-water emulsions stabilised by fumed silica particles. Physical chemistry chemical physics : PCCP, 9(48), 6398-6404. https://doi.org/10.1039/b709807n

Partially hydrophobised fumed silica particles are used to make silicone oil-in-water emulsions at natural pH of the aqueous phase. The stability and rheological properties of the emulsions and suspensions are studied at NaCl concentrations in the ra... Foaming and anti-foaming of nonionic surfactant solutions (2004)
Thesis
Haynes, M. D. (2004). Foaming and anti-foaming of nonionic surfactant solutions. (Thesis). University of Hull. Retrieved from https://hull-repository.worktribe.com/output/4218525

Foam is important for many processes such as enhanced oil recovery and firefighting. Although a large volume of foam is desirable for these particular applications, for other applications it needs to be suppressed, for example, in washing machines. I...
