Dr Victoria Burton
Biography | Victoria is a Lecturer in Social Work who has extensive practice experience in a variety of roles relating to children and families within the Humber region including working in the secure estate/youth justice, child protection, acute mental health and specialist practitioner/management roles for charities including the NSPCC and NCH Action for Children. Her research interest is in domestic abuse / coercive control and trauma, whilst her PhD examines professional perspectives on fathers who are domestic abuse perpetrators. She works collaboratively across disciplines including Education, Criminology & Policing and is Principal Investigator /Co-Investigator on a number of projects. Victoria is a Registered Social Worker, Practice Educator and a Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. |
