Miss Lisa Lavin
Biography | Qualified & registered social worker with over 18 years of experience. With a varied career within the Social Work arena, progressing from that of a young Graduate entering this challenging field of expertise to that of Senior Manager within Hull & East Yorkshire MIND (Mental Health Charity). Specialising in recent years in overseeing, supervising & supporting University students Social Work placements within the workplace as a qualified Practice Educator. Regularly undertaking CPD & seeking self-improvement, always keen to add additional skills sets to my role so as to be more effective. Lisa’s route into social work was not conventional nor was it easy but she feels from the advice and support from her peers I have been able to develop and really underpin what social work is. Working within practice education and working in partnership with The University of Hull is an area she feels passionate about, support & nurture of students as they begin their own journey into the challenging realm of Social Work. Lisa worked throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic within a registered social housing association supporting both staff and service users in navigating the changing laws and issues that where faced. Lisa have extensive knowledge of working within the charitable sector both frontline working, tendering and commissioning and management of services. |
