Biography | Leonie is a lecturer within the Adult Nursing Team at the University of Hull. She teaches across a range of programmes including the University Certificate for Health and Social Care, BSc Nursing Programmes, as well as BSc & MSc Midwifery. She is the module leader for Promoting Health and Preventing Ill Health (BSc Nursing) as well as the Introduction to Health and Social Care practice as part of the University Certificate Programme. Leonie has a keen interest in public health and improving health outcomes for individuals and families. Leonie is a qualified Community Practitioner Nurse Prescriber and has also supported and assessed students in practice. She has recently completed the Post Graduate Certificate - Practice Educator course |

Teaching and Learning | Leonie has recently completed the Post Graduate Certificate -Practice Educator programme in January 2024 and working towards her fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Leonie joined the University in April 2023, before this, she practised as a midwife, then a Health Visitor Leonie teaches and supports students on several modules throughout the faculty of health, these include the University Certificate in Health & Social Care, the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) and the BSc Nursing programme.
