Abstract

Each chapter of this book has highlighted different perspectives of what the human experience of distress might look like. It has also gone some way towards exploring equally varied means of understanding individual distress and leaning on formulation as the lynch pin between assessment and interventions. What this book has also shown is the importance of considering always, how we can enhance practice in a mental health nursing context, but also in a team context where mental health nurses, other professionals, the individuals experiencing struggles with their mental health and their family/carers can work together and interconnect.
