| Biography | Dr. Lukas Pitel obtained his PhD in Social Medicine from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He joined Hull York Medical School in 2019 from the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where he worked as researcher at the Institute of Experimental Psychology. Main focus of his previous work were social and psychological determinants of health-related behaviours as well as validation of psychometric measures. His current research interests include various determinants of cancer morbidity and cancer awareness. |
