Mrs Sarah Donkin
Biography | Sarah has more than twenty years' experience of teaching and supporting students in further and higher education and a Masters in Inclusive Education. Her teaching specialisms include safeguarding in education, trauma-informed approaches to education, and inclusion. She previously worked in a number of social care settings including a local authority children's home, has been an Independent Visitor for children who are looked after and is a Governor for a virtual school. Sarah is particularly interested in the role of education in promoting inclusion and diversity including transitions to and through higher education, and the role of personal supervision in supporting student engagement and success. More recently she has become involved in research around trauma-informed approaches to education, and has completed a Level 5 Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health Informed Schools and Communities (Practitioner Status). |
