Biography Liz originally studied Human Biology BSc at Loughborough University before pursuing an MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics at Leeds Beckett University. She has now been a BDA and HCPC registered dietitian for over 20 years.

She has a wealth of clinical experience from acute hospital dietetics, having previously specialised as a critical care team leader during the COVID-19 pandemic and as a Macmillan Specialist dietitian in oncology and haematology.

In 2013, she joined the HONEI ( Humber, Obesity , Nutrition , Education and Innovation ) project at The Hull York Medical School . Here she designed and ran clinical trials to for corporate partners such as General Mills, Yoplait and EFSA (European Food Safety Authority). She also lectured to medical students and nursing staff as part of this role.

In 2018, she moved to the Department of Sports , Health and Exercise Science at Hull University to teach on the BSc Sports Nutrition course.

In 2020, she was successfully awarded a grant from Higher Education England to set up and produce the MSc (pre – registration) Nutrition and Dietetics course at Hull University to commence 2021. She remains a Lecturer In Nutrition and Dietetics in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Science.
