Description The prize is awarded to the best doctoral thesis on a topic related to Africa, and which has been successfully examined in a British institution of higher education during the two calendar years immediately preceding the next ASAUK Conference. The judging committee were impressed with the quality of all the theses submitted for the prize, and selected these 6 theses, listed alphabetically by author surname, for the shortlist:
