Biography | Sarah is the Programme Director for Post Graduate Certificate Clinical Practice and Programme Director for the University Certificate in Health and Social Care Practice at the University of Hull. With a career in nursing, she graduated from the University of Hull in 2012 with a BSc in Adult Nursing before advancing to complete an MSc in Leadership in Health and Social Care in 2020. Sarah has worked predominantly Primary Care, particularly Practice Nursing. Her research interests span a number of areas, including preceptorship/mentorship, leadership, General Practice Nursing/Primary Care, workforce development, restorative supervision, clinical supervision, and female health/screening. Alongside her academic pursuits, Sarah has garnered recognition for her contributions, such as being a finalist at the Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards 2023 and earning recognition such as, Preceptor of the Year and Inspirational General Practice Nurse in 2018. She actively engages in conference presentations, holds key roles such as External Examiner at various universities, serves on editorial boards, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Sarah's commitment to advancing nursing practice is evidenced through her involvement in numerous funded research projects and her significant contributions to scholarly publications, including journal articles exploring diverse aspects of nursing practice and education. |
