The regular general practitioner scheme: integrated and equitable pathways of depression care, facilitating work participation

People Involved

Project Description

Aims: To examine the effectiveness of the RGP Scheme to deliver equitable depression care facilitating work participation among patients with depression.

Objectives:
1. To investigate organisational factors in the RGP Scheme as predictors of practice variation in GP-depression care.
2. To examine variation in GP-depression care and pathways of care across privileged and disadvantaged population groups.
3. To investigate pathways of depression care as predictors of sustainable work participation among employees with depression. We will assess differences in costs versus utility for the society within the different pathways.
4. To investigate pathways of depression care as predictors of work participation among young marginalized (out of work) people with depression.
5. To compare GP depression care in Norway with the Netherlands regarding follow-up after antidepressant medication.
