Can prevention of the activation of PAR2 prevent the release of procoagulant microvesicles from cancer cells, reduce the risk of VTE and contain the deterioration of the vasculature?

Project Description

The study aims to demonstrate the indirect effect of Apixaban on suppressing the release of pro-inflammatory, pro-coagulant tissue factor-containing microvesicles, by inhibiting factor Xa and preventing the activation of PAR2. The study also demonstrate the long-term beneficial influences through preventing the damage to the endothelial layer.
