INTERACT: Integrated therapist and online CBT for depression in primary care

People Involved

Project Description

The overall aim of this programme is to improve outcomes for patients with depression in UK primary care. This will be achieved through a series of four linked work-streams that will firstly, develop an innovative approach to delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) by reducing therapist time and introducing a suite of online materials that form an integral part of therapy (Work-stream 1: Intervention development); secondly, examine the acceptability of the intervention (Work-stream 2: Qualitative study); and finally, evaluate the clinical and cost-effectiveness of the intervention over 12 months (Work-streams 3 & 4).
