Bladder cancer is a common disease with worse outcomes in Yorkshire than in the rest of the UK. We want to conduct a randomized trial to evaluate the best treatment for aggressive bladder cancer when found at an early stage. This could be complete bladder removal (cystectomy) or installation of BCG infection into the bladder. These treatments and their impact on quality of life differ and so this comparison is difficult to explain to patients. This study will look at how to best explain this comparison to patients and test whether we will be able to undertake a national trial.
