Project Description

We want to devise a live art experience for children aged 2 - 4, entirely born out of playing alongside children. We won’t explore a theme, a world, or characters through play, but instead play with them, observe and follow. From this play will come ideas and inspiration. From these ideas and inspiration will be born a live art experience.

The project could be structured as below :

WEEKLY FAMILY GROUP ↔ MONTHLY NURSERY VISITS
ARTISTS VISIT GROUPS THROUGHOUT

DEVISING PERIOD
ARTISTS DEVISE LIVE ARTS EXPERIENCE BASED ON INSPIRATION FROM CHILDREN
DEVISING PROCESS SHARED WITH GROUPS THROUGHOUT

LIVE ARTS EXPERIENCE TOURS HULL
TOURS TO VENUES AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS IN HULL

LIVE ARTS EXPERIENCE TOURS NATIONALLY
TOURS TO VENUES AROUND THE UK, INCLUDING FESTIVALS

the UoH will be responsible for training artists in child development and also for the evaluation of the project over the three years.
