Introductory Summer School for Research Computing in Solar Physics and Astronomy

Project Description

1.1 The Institution will organise a STFC Introductory Course for Research Computing in Solar Physics and Astronomy (“the Course”) at the University of Hull from 3 September to 7 September 2018.

1.2 The Course shall be designed to provide new PhD students with a good knowledge of the fundamentals or programming. This will enable them to write and maintain software and improve the speed and quality of their research. The Course Director shall be Dr Sergei Zharkov. The Course should accommodate up to 30 students sponsored by the STFC.
