Abstract

The article discusses the use of intramuscular (IM) depot and long-acting injectable antipsychotic medication in treating patients with mental illnesses in Great Britain. It explains the need for healthcare professionals and service users to cooperate with each other to illustrate, educate and encourage good practices related to the administration of the injections. Healthcare professionals are advised to establish good communication to ensure consistent levels of care.
