Abstract

The evaluation team used a collaborative developmental double loop learning approach to evaluation, whereby insights and learning are fed back in real time to enable changes to occur to improve the service or initiative as it develops.
Whilst the pilot was small scale, with 20 patients remotely monitored, it did demonstrate that remote monitoring does add value to the frailty virtual ward with a range of benefits identified over and above the benefits admission to the virtual ward already confer.
