Profile image of Rebecca Chester

Mrs Rebecca Chester

Biography Rebecca works with trainees on all of the Initial Teacher Training programmes, PGCE, undergraduate and School Direct, developing relationships with partner schools across the region.

She was appointed as a permanent member of the Faculty as Partnership Area Tutor in September 2014, following on from work as an external tutor whilst working as a full time Teacher. This enabled Rebecca to build on the links she had previously developed with schools.

Rebecca also leads a module on the BA Primary Teaching programme, looking closely at critical issues in the primary school setting. This involves bringing in guest speakers from local schools to share their experiences. Rebecca currently acts as the School Experience Co-ordinator for the BA Primary Teaching Year 1 students. She co-ordinates their school experience in both the autumn and summer school terms.

She graduated from the University of Hull in 2005 with a first class Honours degree in Professional Studies in Primary Education, with ICT and was awarded the title of Fellow of the HEA in January 2020.
