Biography Professor Mat Hardman has more than 20 years' experience in the field of skin biology, with a specific focus on wound healing.

His research, which spans basic biology through to clinical studies, has been funded by the Medical Research Council, National Institutes of Health and a number of charities.

His wound healing group engage with a number of industry partners and the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, ensuring a clear route to patient benefit.

Before moving to Hull, Mat was Director of the EPSRC & MRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Regeneration Medicine at the University of Manchester.
