Biography Rosie is a Psychologist and Health Researcher who has worked in the field of dementia and ageing since 2012. Her experience spans clinical, research and academic work and she has a number of roles at the University including research, teaching, restorative and dissertation supervision.

Health Researcher
Since 2016, Rosie has worked on a number of high-profile psychosocial and health-related research projects, such as dementia (Caregiverspro-MMD; Challenge Demcare; 'Behaviours that Challenge'; The Power of Language); Social Care (Social Care Innovation Programme [SCIP]) and stroke (Strokestra).

Rosie is also a PhD Researcher and was awarded a scholarship in September 2019. Her research involves the use of interpretive phenomenological analysis alongside photo-elicitation techniques to explore the experiences of couples living with dementia and multiple health conditions.

Rosie chairs the Dementia Advisory Board, a group held at the University every other month attended by people living with dementia and their families, who advise on student and staff research projects and provide input to the MSc in Dementia programme. Rosie is also a member of the research group SPARC (Social and Psychological Research in Long Term Conditions) and the Multimorbidity research cluster.

Dissertation Supervisor
Rosie provides academic dissertation supervision to MSc in Dementia postgraduate students.

Restorative Supervisor
Rosie offers restorative supervision to undergraduate allied health professional students, including paramedic, dietician, physiotherapist and ODP students. Rosie is trained in Restorative Supervision, which is designed to help improve student wellbeing through reflective practice, and help students develop self-efficacy and problem-solving skills.
