Biography A PhD researcher investigating the impacts of offshore wind associated noise and vibrations on infaunal organisms and the substrate structure. The main phases of offshore wind noise that will be focused on will be installation (impulsive noise) and operation (continuous noise).
The research will involve lab-based experiments that will assess short and long-term effects on the behaviour and physiology of infauna. The eventual aim of the project is to understand the possible implications of unchanged offshore wind development in the marine infaunal environment, and to advise of how to reduce the impacts in the future.
