Post Nominals Ph.D.
Biography I am a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology in the School of Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation Sciences and started working at the University of Hull in August 2023.

Prior to working at the University of Hull, I moved to the US to study for my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (2023) at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. During this time I also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Quantitative Research Methods.

I completed both my BSc (Hons) in Sport Science and Injury Rehabilitation (2018) and MSc by Research in Sport (2019) at York St John University.

Outside of work I have participated in the British Athletics Championships in the discus and competed in the discus and shot put for the Utah State University Track and Field team during the first two years of my Ph.D., participating in both indoor and outdoor conference championships.
Research Interests My research interests are broadly related to perfectionism in sport. More specifically I am interested in:

1) Work surrounding the development of perfectionism and pressure to be perfect

2) Perfectionistic reactivity

3) Perfectionism in relation to sport performance.

I am also interested in the world of youth sport more broadly as well as social issues related to the youth sport experience.
