Catia is a researcher, ecologist, and data analyst.
Over the past 15 years, she dedicated her research and consultancy projects to studying movement ecology and amphibian behaviour.
The main subjects of her work are spatial ecology, habitat fragmentation, and connectivity restoration. She's interested in the timeless changes that habitat fragmentation has on species movement and uncovering the intricate relationship between species' behaviour and their environment (terrestrial and marine).
She also actively participates in open data projects and likes to work with multidisciplinary groups by taking ecology to innovative communities, such as consulting companies and science labs.
She's currently the Deputy Director for MSc Environmental Change, Management and Monitoring in SES.
