Dr David Allsup
Senior Lecturer in Haematology and Honorary Consultant
|Biography||Dr David Allsup is a Senior Lecturer in Haematology with an Honorary NHS appointment with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based in the Queens Centre for Oncology and Haematology at Castle Hill Hospital. He is the local haemophilia director and has additional clinical interests in inherited and acquired platelet disorders. He is also the local lead for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), in which he has a longstanding research interest.
Dr Allsup is a member of the BRIDGE-BPD consortium investigating the aetiology of rare disorders of haemostasis and also an active member of the NCRI CLL clinical trials subgroup as well as being a co-investigator on the phase III clinical trial FLAIR.

|Teaching and Learning||Dr Allsup is a keen educator and supporter of the generation of scientists and clinicians. His teaching roles include:-
Academic lead for the Hull York Medical School Phase II Scholarship and Special Interests Programme.
Undergraduate medical student teaching in phase II.
Haematology postgraduate teaching.
Module lead for Hull York Medical School MSc "Pharmacology and Drug Development."
Educational and clinical supervisor to medical and haeamtology trainees.
