Biography Dr David Allsup is a Senior Lecturer in Haematology with an Honorary NHS appointment with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based in the Queens Centre for Oncology and Haematology at Castle Hill Hospital. He is the local haemophilia director and has additional clinical interests in inherited and acquired platelet disorders. He is also the local lead for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), in which he has a longstanding research interest.
Research Interests His research interests include:-
Platelet disorders.
The biology of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
Novel therapeutic approaches for haematological malignancies.
Clinical trials.
Patient pathways.
Teaching and Learning Dr Allsup is a keen educator and supporter of the next generation of scientists and clinicians. His teaching roles include:-
Undergraduate medical student teaching in phase II.
Haematology postgraduate teaching.
Educational and clinical supervisor to medical and haematology trainees.
External examiner for PhDs.
