Project Description
Yorkshire & Humber Palliative Care Research Network
We will develop and sustain a Yorkshire & Humber Palliative Care Research Network, engaging a range of health, social care and ambulance professionals, local councils, and patient/public partners. We take forward four initiatives:
1. A ‘buddying’ system, to directly help those people/places new to research to learn and share experiences.
2. ‘Linking Pin’ partnerships, to pair a clinician with a researcher, to share and learn about research.
3. The opportunity for professionals to bid for backfill funding to enable involvement in research studies.
4. Research mentoring to help those professionals who want to develop their research skills and experience further.
The Network will also support applications for further palliative care research funding.
