2017/2018 Waterbird use of Welwick Realignment Site (Humber Estuary)
People Involved

Project Description
This project is a continuation of previous monitoring programmes carried out at the APB welwick realignment site (Humber Estuary) on the behalf of ABPmer. The project primarily entailed a series of surveys of waterbirds on the re-created intertidal areas and adjacent sites between September 2017 and March 2018. The aim of the study is to verify that the newly re-created intertidal area meets its target in terms of foraging waterbird numbers and compensate for losses of birds elsewhere on the Estuary.
