This is a commissioned piece of research from Steve Shaw
Programme Lead (Forensic Pathways) Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership and HUMBER TEACHING NHS FOUNDATION TRUST. This qualitative study will interview people who are stepping down from medium/low secure services into Specialist Community Forensic Team across Hull, East Riding, North and North East Lincs.
A cohort of patients will be interviewed based on their experiences of secure care and secure care in the community to explore possible themes around their inequalities and protected characteristics. Findings from the interviews (alongside existing audit data) will be used to produce an Equalities report/strategy for the identified cohort of patients in preparation for the procurement of intervention(s) - that is possible solutions that will help to aid recovery and inclusion into the community.
