Project Description
This proposal contains three packages of work aimed at improving the victim’s experience and Police performance in relation to victims. Each package is outlined below before providing a schedule of work and costs.
Work package 1: Production of trauma-informed best practice guidelines for police investigator engagement with rape victims.
Work package 2: Evaluation of the Blue Door ‘Who’s in Charge’ (WiC) Child and Adolescent to Parent Violence Programme.
Work package 3: Evaluation of Force control Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA)
The work will take place between 1st May 2021 and 31st October 2022. Collectively, these three work packages will feed into the development of a Victims hub and the added value of this work will be to build a partnership between researchers at the University, Humberside Police and the OPCC in the field of victim performance. The identification of further sources of external funding to support the development of victim services in the region is something we would be keen to explore in the future.
